I while ago i bought some jewelers glasses that have lenses that you can double up on. very helpful with tiny things. Also a hobby lamp with a center magnifier lens inside of a ring bulb has been super useful.

More to the point, can a lionel or MTH smoke unit be made to work in a DC G scale 0-4-0? I ask because O scale parts seem plentiful and affordable compared to dedicated G scale smoke units.

I tried to research this topic but i really cold not find any info on it. Is there a mod or parts to remove the tire wheels and just run solid wheels? My track is level and i prefer the solid wheels

Clarification..... Ok so ive been messing around in G scale for about 5 years now. ive had the BACHMANN, LGB, ARISTOCRAFT, USA, MDC, LIONEL,PIKO, and MTH rolling stock. Ive had BACHMANN LGB, ARISTOCRAFT, USA, LIONEL, MTH and KITBASHED engines I often have to rotate my inventory selling one item to acquire another. Never had enough money to justify acquiring Accucraft or Aster or the like engines and rolling stock But i find myself being drawn more and more to the 1/32 end of the scale. Which seems much harder to find in some ways. How has the hobby progressed with you?
