Thank you. I didn't want to mess something up. The manual doesn't even tell about the switch. I happened to see there was a switch on a YouTube video about the train.

I purchased the LGB 72304 Christmas starter set recently. The user manual said nothing about the smoke generator operation (In fact, the user manual lacks a lot to be desired). I can see the smoke generator down in the smoke stack, and a bottle of smoke fluid came with it. There is a three position switch inside the engine cab. I turn to middle, and lights come on, but train won't move. Switch to far right, third position and train will run. I suppose that it will only smoke when running in third switch position? Thanks from a newbie.
