I just bought my first train set this past weekend, Piko 38111. Really fun to watch. But the 4' diam circle is going to get boring pretty quick but will be perfect for my xmas tree. So I'm looking around for g scale tracks to expand out. I eventually want to go around my backyard. Do i also need a high powered transformer? Not sure at all. Very new to this hobby.
