  1. Sorry, the hangars are spaced 24" on center, not 12".
  2. Westley, The hangars are spaced 1 foot on center and 4 inches away from the wall. The hangars were made by Michael Niebaum in Louisburg,Kansas. He owns and operates Micheal's Custom Woodworking, he specializes in G-scale Buildings, Bridges and Track Hangars. When I bought them they were $5.00 each. If he still has a website it is; www.trainbuildings.com e-mail is traincrafts@hotmail.com. phone # 913-837-5189 Cliff
  3. Ray, Do you think I should upgrade the Annie or just leave it be? Cliff
  4. I am glad you posted this on here, Ray. I think I will do this to the caboose for my R.E.K. train. I found that the Drivers on the Annie were pretty dirty and was causing pick-up problems on my indoor layout. It will also help with it running at Gladfest. I will also pick a car from my other consists and do it to one of them Thanks Ray

Markoles- Thanks for the information. I am getting the Rodgers and tender for $100.00, THe FA-1 $120.00, it runs real good and is quiet. And the Atlantic and Tender for $90.00. We were using the prices I found on eBay and the internet as a guide, so I guess I won't be doing to bad. Thanks again.

I went over yesterday and ran the engines on a small loop of track with 5' curves and a couple of 3' straights. The Atlantic did NOT like the 5' curves, the Lights didn't work either. The FA 1 ran good, was quiet and all the lights worked. The 2-4-2 Rodgers ran well, all the lights worked but the tender, which has a sound card in it from the factory had no sound and the back-up light did not work. we worked out a deal on what I wanted, everything except for a couple of cars and the Bachmann track that he has. Looking forward to eventualy bringing everything home and being able to run it at Gladfest this year.
  8. Ray- an O guage smoke unit is what I was thinking of for the Mogul. It should fit right inside the boiler.
  9. Here are some photos of my indoor layout. It runs around the living room, ( The bridge in front of the fire place is Centered on the room, the fire place is not) Through the wall into our hall closet, then through the Bathroom, through our Bedroom closet, around our Bedroom then across the Hallway and into our Office then back in the living room. I still have a lot of work to do on it to finish it up, but the train runs good.
  10. Hello, Just wanted to say "Hello" to everyone. My friend Rayman449 let me know about this forum site. I am glad to be here also. Seems like a nice place and I have noticed a few people I know are here too. I have an indoor layout suspended from the ceiling and it runs throught the house, through the walls and closets. The name of my RR is the R.E.K. RR ( Retired Eagle Keeper). I do the fall festival here in Gladstone Missouri along with the local N-Scale club. I am the only G-Scaler involved. Ray has helped me a couple of times there. Looking forward to interacting with everyone and having a good time. Cliff "StumpyCC " Couch
  11. I have seen the BigBoys a friend of mine has, they are MTH with Proto Sound. It has been a while since I have seen them. If they could get one of the REAL BigBoys running again, I can only imagine what it will sound like comming down the tracks. The ones my friend runs, make a lot of "noise" ( more like Thunder ) when they are running, so, The reaal thing should make the earth shake!!!

John, The FA-1 is just part of the collection this man has that used to belong to his brother. He is looking to sell the collection. This is the first time I have seen it. I met him at our local fall festival here in Gladstone this past fall. I am just trying to find out the value of these enegines so I can make him a decent offer on them. I don't want to rip him off and he is not looking to make big bucks off it. He is into O-scale and not G scale. I just want to pay him a fair price. All of the orices I have found on these is off ebay because I could not find them on the Manufaturers websites.

And here are the pictures of the Alco FA-1. No B Unit tho. I found it on ebay and it sold last year for $300.00 NEW. Would just like to get a general idea what they might really be worth so I can make an offer on them.
