  1. Thanks. Since 1/32 is 3/8" and 1/29 is 7/16" just count how many 3/8'd I have and measure out that many 7/8" Should work, I think, make a ruler maybe. jerry
  2. I have a model of 844 I stretched from a Pacific. I want to make a centipede tender for it. I have a MTH tender I can take measurements from. I do have some USA BB tender parts, the side frames and the front tender truck. I ordered some wheels from Gary Raymond(nice guy!). So help my art brain to scale up my 1/32 measurements to 1/29. thanks, Jerry
  3. Your work is just downright amazing!
  4. I have a wood model of one I got from roadside Montayards outside of Pleiku in 1969. You chopper pilots were crazy! Used you some on my convoys.
  5. I use the Gauge 1 smaller Kadees. Fit right on the holes in MTH.
  6. You are really into the tech side of the hobby.
  7. Love those angled fronts. I have one that Roberts Lines did in a cast aluminum shell, heavy!
  8. I sent an extra TIU to Ray and a MTH boxcar to put it in and another boxcar for the battery car. He took the TIU apart to fit in the boxcar and put a fuse and switch on the battery car. Nice neat install as usual. I find the response to be a lot better on battery power, none of those not on track notices. Choosing the smoke worked fine the first time, used to have troubles with that. I found it ran fine on 14 volt battery, but do have a new 18 volt on order to fit in the boxcar door. Really happy with how it went. Once I sell another couple of battery power locos I will have my Challenger converted with my other TIU. Then sell my Bridgewerks!
  9. I have one I would sell. ONe rod had broken and someone patched it up. I have the replacement piece that I could send with it. I have a box for it, tender would be in another. Also have MTH 4 car set , I put figures in the cars, they have Kadee couplers. Need email to send pix, can't seem to do it here. Have to take new ones anyway. juking52@cox.net Jerry
  10. Can't keep a good man down-go turbine man!
  11. I have a video on my iPhone but can't seem to get it to upload to youTube. Which I've done before.
  12. I got this years ago from Barratt models in the UK. At that time they offered and electric option.
  13. https://www.barrettsteammodels.co.uk/starter-kits Beginner kit, all brass. Comes with a book of instructions but you still have to figure out a lot. I failed at resistance soldering, so used 0-80 and 1/72 bolts, didn't like the slot screw heads it had. I got it back ages ago when you could get an electric motor with it, no longer offered. Not easy to do, old fingers and such not good with small stuff.
  14. Scientific guy! I've enjoyed the quick set up J&B on that UK loco kit I"m working on.
  15. You amaze me with your talent. Figuring out the Alps printer was way beyond me.
  16. I used JB weld on some parts I glued to the smokebox on my Shay. Has held up well. I like to rough up the spot a little and use alcohol to make sure it is clean. Not that I know anything! Good you are having fun.
