Meadmaker
Has anyone tried installing an MTH synchronized smoke unit into a Bachmann G scale steam loco? If that is not an option, would appreciate some ideas for a really good fan driven smoke unit that can be installed into the new Bachmann #81486 2-6-0 Loco. Have not bought the loco yet, but assuming there is ample room for installation. Thank you
enginear joe
it's not the smoke unit that controls the smoke. The smoke unit does need to be fan driven. The MTH protosound boards that control it create the sync in the soundfile. They precisely turn the smoke on and off. So you would pair up the MTH smoke unit and the control boards in the install. Look at Ray's site for examples.
