blid
I don't remember if it was on this or another forum I saw the tip, but I bought the GB (Gardner Bender) Ox-Gard Anti-Oxidant Compound from Amazon.com. Maybe there are better ones?

Thanks, Will they fit code 250 Sunset Valley RR. Track? Bob. I prefer the clamps that SVRR sells. Fits between the ties real nice, hold up for a long time. I find the split jaws a pain they way they are always rotating around. They do have them for code 250 I know. Check Reindeer Pass.
rbrown7713
Thanks Jerry. I have slowed on laying the track as I am pouring about 16 yards of concrete, filling in the center of the layout and between the layout and the house, no more grass to deal with. Bob. rbrown7713
No, I am hiring someone to do this one, too big for me and too hot. Bob.
Sean
Some times hiring some one can be priceless … Your seem to getting smarter in your old age ..going against the norm …
Jerry B44
I hire a lot anymore, if I can afford it, if I do too much the wear and tear on the old body is not worth it.
rbrown7713
Yes, I agree, and here is my answer to mobile shade, my shade trolley. Bob.
Screwy Nick
Bob, I like that. Previous owner removed most of the trees in my yard and some days it just gets too hot to enjoy the trains. Life will now get even better.

rbrown7713
It might be my age, but when I was younger, a long time ago, I would pray for the sun, but, not now, it is my enemy. Bob.
Screwy Nick
Bob, I never was a fan of the beating down sun but didn't mind it. As I get older I'm liking it less also. Since loosing my hair I've found my head sweats. LiG

rbrown7713
What's a beach? Does It look anything like 3 yards of fill dirt that I have to move for fill? If it does, deal me out. Bob.
Sean
Bob ... are you running trains yet …
rbrown7713
No, not yet, just got all of the concrete poured and the next step is to order about 300 feet of track and then lay it. Almost there, Bob.

Jerry B44
I hope you go with code 250, makes the trains look a LOT more in scale and like a model, not a toy. I use SVRR for the last 30 years.
rbrown7713
I am using SVRR code 250. All great minds think alike, Bob.
rbrown7713
I just ordered 280 ft. of track from Sunset Valley Railroad and will start laying track as soon as it gets here. I should be running trains by Christmas or sooner, Bob.

Jerry B44
I use a di-electric compound on each connector, helps to give good track power. Car stores have it.
rbrown7713
Here is the start of the track laying. I have to add one switch and the switches will be complete. My T1 was tested today on the 10 ft. radius and it made it OK, I was worried about that. Bob.
