g scale radius vs diameter

the most confusing damn thing I find is that Radius stuff on track. aristo craft uses ft for diameter and lgb uses radius, for instance I am using aristo switches with 10 ft diameter.  I cannot figure out what that transfers in l terms of feet vs radius. to using LGB and PIKO track. R5 Seems to come out to about 8 ft diameter. I would like to find out how one figures this stuff out. I am not very good with numbers, so I am going to say if I want 10 ft diameter for switches do I go to like R 7 in LGB< PIKO?

Not sure if you saw this topic, but see this thread I posted that outlines differences between Piko and LGB in Radius and Diameter this might help:

 

 

Also as reference, Diameter=Radius x 2  (So a curve that is listed as 5ft radius is the same as 10ft diameter)
