enginear joe
It's an honor to have you look at it Bob! Thanks.
enginear joe
So I don't think too much of some of the things I do. I'm at it again. It is impressive to think a couple of scraps turns into something pretty good though. I wish they were top level to make molds from. It is one of those that looks good enough from a distance. Maybe with practice, I'll get better and be able to display them as well. The way they get kicked around outside, I think rugged maybe be better than museum perfect. I'll find a happy balance. I wish I had some type of laser or water jet cutter.
rbrown7713
That loco. is beautiful Joe. Talk to Tod, he uses his laser cutter all of the time, and is pretty good at it. I bought three of them, none of them work, but some day, maybe I will learn more about them and fix one. Bob.
enginear joe
None of the three work? Maybe I'd better stay with manual labor?
rbrown7713
Don't let me discourage you, when they work, they work well and very precise. I have a mill and I make molds, so it is hard for me to switch over to new technology, but once one learns to use one, easy as using a printer, they are great. I haven't taken the time to get into them yet. Bob.
nscaler711
That build was pretty amazing. Are there anymore updates on this locomotive? Also where did you get the brass horn for the ACe? I need one very similar to the USAT GP38-2 I am modernizing...
enginear joe
I'm going from memory here. I believe they came from Aristocraft? I really don't remember.
