robertalan51
Hi Guys, My LGB MOGUL 2019s analog factory chuff stopped working and I can not figure out why. When I remove the battery from the tender I can hear a very faint chuff sound at low speed. When the battery is reconnected all I get is a constant hissing noise. I have been told it may be a broken wire in the wire harness. Could the 6pin connector be bad ? Are the harness’ easy to replace? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rob near Chicago
Rayman4449
Perhaps someone else has had the same situation and can speak to this directly. I can't speak to the cause but on replacing the harness it would depend on what harness it was and how it is made. I know LGB normally used plugs and harnesses for their main wiring that were different from the other manufacturers so may take some research and additional work to find them. I'm not sure if any existing trainshops carry them as spare parts, I know I dont. The first step is to actually confirm if you have a problem with each wiring harness if that is where you want to start. I would use a volt meter and check for continuity on each wire. if you do have an issue with wiring harness you may be able to repair which is what I would normally do in cases like this.
