omahahaha
Hello. I just registered with this forum for help. I'm not a train enthusiast but my 4yr old son is so here I am. I bought the Penn Flyer set new at a Big Lots when he was 2 and didn't open it because he may have destroyed it then. I open it now and the battery contacts in the coal tender car are missing. I haven't had any luck with an internet search for the part(s) but maybe I'm searching the wrong terms. Does anyone. have information about this part or if you have a similar tender car, could you post a picture of the inside? Maybe i can make something that will work but right now I have no idea what it looks like. Thanks!
Jim Miller
You can buy battery and charger here. I believe you can use c size cells and there should be a battery holder to position batteries in tender. If you are missing holder, try duck tape. Not sure, have only seen this model one time. http://www.wholesaletrains.com/Detail.asp?ID=200807228
markoles
It might help if you could post a picture. I've been running the polar express version of this engine using rechargable C batteries. My kids are 3 & 6 and love this train.
