Screwy Nick
My Experience: I used the Micro Mark resin casting process, complete starter kit $100. (I have used their molding material and JB Weld to successfully cast a lawn mower part, I could go on and on about that product). I made the mold from the end of one car. The one pictured is my first attempt, I gave the finished molds to another modler who wanted to make them for himself, he also passed them on. Made just enough folds so they would open on my curves without binding. I wouldn't want my diaphrams out of alighment on curves, not a good look, but to each his own. The fellow modler I gave them to used long magnets at the bottom of his, I think it worked better than my little ones at the top. Can also use clips along the sides. rbrown7713
Here is one of the 5 diaphragms that I made for the FAM cars. Note the shiny surface, makes it nice to go around curves. Bob.
