enginear joe Posted May 22, 2015 Share Posted May 22, 2015 I bought a couple of cars and had them in storage. I was so busy building the layout, I never even unpacked them. So as I'm unpacking now, I figured I'd switch the cars over to KDs. I did the hoppers first. Then I grabbed the 60' box cars. http://www.usatrains.com/usatrains60box.html I new they had newly designed coupler boxes. I didn't realize they don't need to be swapped out. They come with removable spacers to raise them up to body height. Although they don't play well with stock Aristo couplers, it appears they will work with my new KD #906's. http://www.usatrains.com/r19400coupler.html They have the extended swing so I'm hoping they will work without mods.
