My work in progress

Hello!

I've started a project putting an elevated layout around my daughter's room.  I've looked at quite a few different versions for inspiration and settled on a version of my own inspired by some trestles a friend of mine has for his outdoor layout:

I sketched the dimensions of her room:

Then represented her room with a chalk outline to layout the track I purchased.

I'm hoping to use a book shelf bracket of my own design to support the track.

I'm using all reclaimed redwood decking as my base material.  Cleaning it up and cutting it into 1/2in square timbers:

Then cutting those down to 6in lengths:

Starting to look like progress!

Welcome Westley and very nicely done :)  Coming up with your own creative solution based on what you learn is really the way.

Thank you!  I'm not sure how much time I'll be able to spend on it, but I'm looking forward to the process.

Cheers!
