jayhey
I have an old REA Express (Aristocrat) ALCO FA-1 engine I want to convert to battery. I use the Aristocraft (CREST) Train Engineer. The issue I have is that that engine required something called "Pulse Width Control" included with the REA transformer for smooth operation. When used with my non REA transformer, the engine started out 'jerky'. I would like to fix this issue when I convert to battery power if possible. Any suggestions? Also, I have been getting batteries from one source, boards from Crest, etc. Anyone know of a one-place specialty store where I can get me LiPo batteries, connectors, resistors, etc. ? Jerry B44
Kidman's can set you up with Cordless renovations batteries/chargers. I run my FA's , RS3, Pacific on battery power, do fine with out the pulse width stuff.
