October 12, 201411 yr Does this forum software allow 'thanks' buttons to posts? Many times I read something great, but I don't have a reply, and often it looks silly that everyone adds a long string of various 1-2 word thank you posts. It would be nice to be able to acknowledge a post that I like with just one click. Jens
October 12, 201411 yr There isn't a specific Thanks feature available. (it can however be added as an add-on for a cost by a third party developer). There is a reputation feature with upvote/downvote and also a 'Like' feature similar to Facebook but many forums choose to leave those disabled because of the way it changes the overall dynamic and experience of the forums. It adds another dimension beyond an objective reply as it adds an element of expectation and comparison among the members which I don't see as positive. We don't want the forums to become a popularity contest with a pecking order. Will look into the Thanks button some more.
