    The problem tho is parts. Nobody can keep the thousands of parts in stock to keep for repairs and lord knows how deb pulls her hair out. There's not a lot of dealers who will do repairs especially warranty work.

    The mth site says the challenger is r3 which is about 8 ft. That should be about right . My layout room is 35x19 . Maybe not big enough for the autorack but I'm tired of 3 rail. Time to rip up O scale??

    Thankyou so much. Mth has nothing new and I can promise you they are focused on HO scale as they had an HO meltdown recently and are busy with that. O scale especially premiere is there big push all the time. The service department is constantly backlogged .. i just don't what I will do at this point.

    Thankyou so much for the great response. .! It seems G scale locos are very limited. Have you heard if mth is coming out with anything new. I also need to learn about the radius in G. What is k2 or k3. How wide is a 10 foot radius.. ? 10 feet?

    So please explain the radius terms for G scsle. What is r1 and r3.. how wide is 8ft radius. How wide a half circle be to accommodate a g auto rack or challenger.

    Ok .. does usa trains and lgb and aristocrat all have dcc locos thst are compatible with a dcc system. It seems usa trains has the best selection of modern diesels.

    So I run O scale Mth now but am thinking of going to G scale. I know mth and dcs with one guage but what is out there that works well system wise and what is interchangeable as far as locos and systems i know some G scale will work with mrc prodigy. Advice please.
