Hey bob how much  work  is involved  in  casting  another  pair of cabs and pilots  as i now need to start on another  B class locomotive

Bob the T1 is a  beautiful  locomotive  i reckon  you need to doa classic  old electric  box cab like this one.

Another  photo  have  started  adding  the  laser cut  vinyl  lettering 

Ok starting  painting  the  locomotive  and have started  cutting  out of thin vinyl  the lettering 

Hi  anyone  have  a 4 wheel motor block  new or used as i need one for my sons diesel loco as the drive in it is shot .

I need  something  like a usa/ lionel  or aristocraft  4 wheel  motor block can anyone  help me.

Here is a new  kit  im working on in  1/29 scale .

2 storey  farm house .

Ive been selling  my kits on ebay for 2 years  now 1/29 scale  precision laser cut wood model buildings. Like this  one  1/29 scale  Goods  shed  and loading  dock platform.

Hi   thought id post some pics of the new  small fan driven smoke unit  i just built for my railmotor  .

It uses a 50mm square  ABS enclosure box.

Top photo  shows all its parts layed out.

1 20 mm 12 volt  fan.

A scrap piece  of  6mm alluminium  tube.

A small wire wound  resistor  .

And some fiberglass  wick used in kerosene  lamps . 

Last photo shows  the test  on my watt meter it draws less than one amp on a 4 cell  lithium polymer  battery  pack .

It cost less than 5 dollars  to  build.

My smoke unit cost about 10 dollars  to  build  parts needed  are 100 x 70 x 35 mm abs enclosure  box.

45 cm piece  of  0.3 mm nichrome  wire

A 40 mm 5 or 12 volt fan .

10 cm piece of 8 mm fiberglass  rod or tube .

1 foot of kerosene  lanp wick 6mm thick.

1 10mm   10 cm long  brass or plastic  tube  for smoke exit tube ( exhaust )

Good point bob i have now fitted  a separate  30 amp esc to the smoke  unit so i can vary the  smoke  output  the unit pulls around  4 amps  on 12.6 volts  or a fully  charged  3 cell lipo battery.

I use  vanilla scented  oil in it so it dont stink.

I use a 4 cell  lithium ion battery pack  for driving  the  locomotive.

I have  to use a separate  esc  for  power  to the  heater as running  it constant  creates  to much smoke the 5 volt fan runs constantly  from the reciver  power at the moment  im using  a  micro servo and a micro switch  fitted  to the  heater power  wires to turn  on and off the  heater coil  from my RCS TX9 transmitter.

Smoke unit  running 

Scratchbuilt  fan driven  smoke unit  fitted  in my locomotive  i run it of a separate  3 cell 1500 mha lipo battery  pack  .

Ill also use a separate  esc for the smoke unit  so i can vary the smoke  output.

Wanted  aristocraft  RS3  / FA1 smoke  unit  ??? Or something  similar  for a scratchbuilt  locomotive  im building  at the moment.

Another  photo  have  filled the square  holes  below  side cab windows  and started  cutting  out  the automatic  staff changer  .

Mesh is normal  fiberglass  fly screen  tripled  up ( 3 ) layers to make mesh holes smaller and CA glued into place.

Ive  also  fitted  2 Bluetooth  speakers  under the roof for sound later on.

Ok little more  progress  on the  build  mesh where to the inside  of  the  locomotive  sides also test fitted  cab doors .

I used 5 min polyurethane resin  and bjb black pigment  i also drilled  a hole in the  top  of the  mould  for air to escape poured the resin in one hqkf of the mould  and squashed  the top / other half on worked well .

Ok guy's  have spent a little  of  time  this afternoon  working on the  locomotives roof  and   roof mounted cooling  fans  ive also  made the roof removable for battery changes etc.
