Thanks for that advice. fabricating a piece seems to be the most practical thing to do. Just hoping something would come up.

Looking and asking where to obtain a part for an Aristocraft 2-8-8-2 Mallet, two small hinges that insert in front of boiler to mount the plate cover, listed as Smoke Box Hinge, Part 21600-11 Any Help in locating them would be greatly appreciated. Gary
