I started to post that this am but wasn’t sure he wanted a new one.. I was lucky Pops to find a used brand new one last summer. They are getting harder to locate new like that one Chuck referred you to.
Also, I have had very good luck ordering from that company including recently.
This week after being out of stock for a while I received my USA 0-6-0 Dockside Army. It will go with the other two GP's I have yet to run from USA Trains.
I did read you were moving and starting a new adventure. I'm looking forward to watching the new layout in progress,
You all have weather a lot worse than we do so I understand.
I to am disappointed in my engine pre orders but being new in G It seems like I might as well get used to that with MTH.lol
One very good thing all the 5 GS American Freedom passenger cars are here, all the Veterans and 1st responder cars (like 20 I think is the total) are here.
So I don't really have a reason to moan and groan. They have done well.
Besides it's winter and I'll play O gauge inside. lol
I have studied your information here before and certainly agree and wish sellers would adhere to it.
But, I think the majority of sellers could care less. They get the money and it's gone. End of story. IMO
Sadly my big boy and even another displayed only triplex convinced me I will never buy a used engine again unless I'm at a train show so I can carry it home.
The Post Office (Delivery Service) also contributes to damage as well. They have played football with numerous purchases I have received in O and a few G scale over the years.
Even one of the brand new Factory shipping boxes you sent me of ONE American Freedom passenger car.
THAT'S the post office. Luckily the car was not damaged. Just the outer and inner box.
Between lackadaisical shippers and the postal service the chances you get one of these Big G engines shipped USED from a private seller in the mail undamaged is slim. IMO
Humorously, on the other side one exception if Joe EVER sells me his Clinchfield Challenger I'll waiver this bad attitude about shipping.
That all sounds familiar. My youngest grandson is 13 this year and his train engine interest has dwindled considerably over the past few years. My granddaughter is 4 and I still consider a terror in the train room but I’m sure she’s going to improve. She likes to take things with her.
