Since Bachmann has plug n play for the REVO it makes sense to me for them to continue the REVO product along with parts to keep all those Aristo's operating.............Jim
Just checked them out. The receiver board looks a bit large and I will miss the plug n play for Aristo and Bachmann Loco's. I think I will try two on-board receivers with one transmitter as a test...................Jim
We have made a good product, but have not developed sufficient additional items to allow us to cover our overhead. I have devoted the past 2 ½ years to try to make this venture successful and failed.
We will be closing as of 7-31-16 and I will look for a day job. In the meantime, you can mail any repairs to me at my home at 74 Williams Ave., Jersey City, NJ 07304 and I will do the necessary repairs after my day job. However, I can’t do free warranty repairs, so call me in advance for a quote and send a check with the repair plus return shipping costs. The phone number of my portable will remain the same at 201-565-6069, though it will be better to reach me in the evenings.
It’s been a pleasure to serve you and I look forward to a long time of keeping your equipment in tiptop shape.
Here some ways I dealt with about a 4 FOOT elevation change. Raised one end while tunneling at the other for a level loop. Than grading other loop........Jim
The same thing that happened to Japan and Korea is now happening in China. As the younger generations evolve to be more like the Americans they develop labor unions and have vacations, hobbies etc.and that requires higher wages to enjoy the good life and eventually their exports become more expensive. I hear that Vietnam may be the next low cost manufacturing country.
EPA requirements do add cost to products. My wife was involved in the sale of huge scrubbers to clean the air for the Chinese Olympics. The air in China is awful. When the Chinese engineers visited here in Lebanon, Pa they were surprise to see that the sky is blue. We believe that after the Olympics that the scrubbers were shut down.
At present my company has partnership with Chines fabricator but they can not compete with our own shop in the UK. So we only use Chinese shop for projects in China.
Yes, there are regulations. I have my drone registered. One reg is 400 foot ceiling. Another is do not chase emergency vehicles. They are simple and common sense.
The real severe restrictions come on if you are using a drone for commercial uses.
Scott Polk is trying to get Aristo stuff made but the factory is not responsive. He is trying to get the Consiladation and I believe the Pacific's made.
The thing that discourages me from buying a big expensive engines is that they claim to require a huge curve to operate on. My layout can not handle them. That is one of the attractions to MTH and Aristo steam.
Unfortunately we will probably only see repaint of previously released engine since mold costs for a all new engine can be well over a million dollars......Jim
I might do another Cornwall Locomotive. The #4 or 5 are very similar to USAT's Docksider. Missed out on a great price at the York show, I think they were $300.
My grandson was running his GP40 and Annie.
The bike is so I take breaks from the trains, my wife thinks it is too much like work and she wants to go for a ride. Looking into another ride to Vermont................Jim
