  1. Ok.  So no signal improvements or such.  Even though I do like the phone app  I can’t see myself totally abandoning the remote. With the remote you can control things like speed with out having to look at it.  Besides it’s hard to see a phone display in the sun.

  2. Raymond,

Do you know what is the difference between the 50-1002 original remote and the newest ver. 50-1038 ? Manufactures generally don't change part numbers without a reason.  Should I upgrade while they are available?

  3. I was curious how well the Split Jaw would fit the contour of the AML stainless rail before I made the investment.  The top is Aristo Brass w/brass Split Jaw.  The bottom  one is the AML stainless with stainless Split Jaw.

Good enough for me time to $$$$

  4. With the winter finally over in the Northeast, I am looking to order some Split Jaw rail clamps (stainless). I see RLD shows them in stock. I never ordered from them any feedback about them would be appreciated. Or any other place to order from.

OK, what do you mean by the "screws on the back"?   The track that I am buying require that the ties be assembled to the rails.  Would it be better since the ties are not installed,  to bend the rails separately before installing the ties? Bob.

What track are you buying ?

  6. I started the canyon late last year so I got a chance to see how the snow and rain would affect it. Because this is the highest point of the yard the canyon drained pretty well.

It’s been raining all weekend so no excavating. Also no rock shopping yet.

  7. The gutter downspout is going to get rerouted.  The curve is the highest spot of the yard and so far haas not had any problems with water. I like the slat roofing idea but not sure if I can find it locally.

I have ave a few of these stones that I had used as stepping stones for years but have no idea where they came from.
