POLA "Silverton" Railroad Station Kit (Parts Question)

I mentioned in my blog that I had picked up a few buildings at the Council Bluffs Railroad gathering here a week or so ago.  Never used POLA before and I'm impressed with the quality of the parts.

This particular Silverton Railroad Station was apparently produced around 1990 and was still in it's original (but slightly worn) box.  After figuring out which glue worked best on it, I got to work with the help of my wife putting this thing together.  It's about 80% completed but I want to add some items (and lights) to it.  But.......  Before I do that, there are some parts that are listed in the parts section of the "directions" but I'm not sure what they are or where they go.  Since some of you guys have been modeling for years I thought perhaps you may recognize what these are or what they are for....  Couldn't find anything on the net nor could I find a picture with these parts in it!

Let me know if you have any ideas and THANKS for your time :)

Pola often supplies parts that are not needed for the building you are putting together. This is because they make buildings that use similar parts but with minor differences so they just supply same parts for all similar buildings.

For glue I use Plastruct - PLASTIC WELD SOLVENT CEMENT, 12 2oz. BOTTLE
