I could take the trucks off of these units and make a modern switcher. That's if those trucks are any good and IF I could find one cheap.

I believe that it would be the old Aristo GP40 (molds) so that would be 1/29 scale.

Probably not new news to a lot of folks here. Looks like the Aristo GP40 is coming again (at 22:39 into the video)

 I've never seen any Marklin engines in person. I think I saw a listing for them in G scale or maybe it was O?

Does anyone here know about these? Maybe the F series from EMD? or anything more modern from them?

I missed your reply until now. All of a sudden I am very busy with life and work. When it cycles around, or slows down, I will dive in.

I think I have to. There are many things that keep me from doing more scratch builds. These fans are a great example.

Sorry Sir. I said decoder. I only use MTH board sets. I used to install other brands. I label them all "decoders".

It appears that you are installing the whole DCS system in this case. What exactly is in that B unit?

Well...yes. I have put a MTH smoke unit into a USA trains dock side engine for example, as well as several diesels. I use the MTH boards for control in each engine so it's easy for me to add smoke.
