Yeah, I agree. I had hoped for a new ACe. With all the ramblings on about it coming, I actually believed it was. I'll still hope for a new diesel soon. Maybe with a new small steamer they were contemplating by the next catalog.
I may just have to scratch build a more modern diesel switcher too.
I was wondering if it would be easier just to replace the guides with a softer metal so they can be ground easier? On most real switches these would be more rusty and a different color anyways? Might be more work?
I finally got a few of these switches and need to play with them to see what's going to be a problem.
Well I dabbled a little and just ordered 1 thing for now. I wanted the Amtrak cars, more tankers, several more (4) diesels....... Rats no new diesel.
I also wished they released more TOFCs and at least a new car. Maybe if these sell good they'll dive back into G? It's still tuff to watch all the other scales get so much.
Thank you Ray. That's a great complement to me, coming from you.
I enjoy the feature of being able to drop cars anywhere when I want to. The price has gone up, but it's well worth it to me. I'll be looking to see what they release in the new catalog. I hope it's a modern diesel for my fleet. Otherwise, I'll probably be ordering the F7 set. Didn't know they ran 2 Bs in that NS train now. Looks like I have a ways to go to catch up with Jim!!
If it was a test, I failed. I was going to order, and thought I'd wait to see what else was in the catalog. I prefer modern diesels! I know this one is current. I would prefer an ACe.
Sorry, that's just my impression!!! She does have a cavernous firebox, though. Do locomotives like their fireboxes to be called 'cavernous'?
I'm not sure? Just crawl in there, with some coal, lighter fluid and a match...... and see! I bet she doesn't like the previous comment!! I'd crawl fast.
Allegheny is kind of cool, but when I visit the 1604 at the BORM, it just seems like a huge block of steel, and not really a locomotive. Now, a Class A? There's a locomotive!
We were there last year around now and had a great time. It was fun to watch them "steam up" on the Strassburg RR. I even enjoyed the steak sandwich on the ride. How are you connected?
"this polarity thing is made out by some to be a big deal by individuals"
Although there are several people that do this, one in particular, comes to mind first! I have always believed that he (and the rest) made a choice of control, and will not allow any other choice to be made, by anyone! ??? Dah, Ok.
"MTH Electric Trains The RailKing One Gauge (G Gauge) catalog will be up on-line towards the end of August, first part of September. So I would keep and eye out for new G Gauge at the end of the month Mr Krakowski.Thank you for the post."
Yeap, if I could commit to the color. I'm thinking CSX.......
I thought I was close to primer. I should glue the door panels on first if I'm going to. I still need vents, grabs and holes, lift rings and holes, hand rails and holes moved.

Let me know which cars and engines you get Ray. There have been a couple that I missed.
