Us Navy vet 1968 - 1976, after that an electrician for 27 years working for Asea Brown Boveri in their Induction Furnace Division with a small home improvement business on the side. ABB moved the Induction Furnace Division back to Germany in 2000 so I put down my side cutters and picked up my hammer full time.  Formerly modeling in HO and HOn3 but the quest for more detail and the maturing of my eyesight drew me to the large scale about 9 years ago.  I model in 1:20.3, Fn3 now all steam except for one gas 0-4-0, and my eyes do not have to strain as much.  Moved to a new old home (108 year old farm house) with a very large dry basement in Dec of 2014 so a new indoor layout is in the planning stages but till we're up and running I keep busy building structures, super detailing rolling stock and my locomotives, and adding sound and DCC.
