  1. when I was 6 years old, on Christmas in the early fifties, I received an early HO train pulled by an 0-4-0 side tank porter. Exactly 60 years later I found a 1/20.3 scale of the same engine of the same name, so I bought it. It is a real nice little guy, and she brings back some real great memories.
  2. I have a few engines, both 1/22.5 and 1/20.3. All are Bachmann. My favorite is a Colorado & Southern Ten Wheeler. I got it and two passenger cars in around 1996. I put my daughter's name on it. It finally died, but I held on to it. It was well weathered. I even put real rust on various places making sure not to rust the boiler. Four years ago, I bought and installed a new Tenth Anniversary chassis, and with a dermal modified the engine body to fit, then weathered the chassis to match. The engine looks like the work horses I remember in the fifties. But one thing was missing, and after years of searching, I found an Aristocraft Beartrap Arrestor and last week installed it. Wow what a great result.

It wasn't Aristocraft but Accucraft. I was surprised that the original stack on my ten wheeler fit the Beartrap perfectly.
