I'm hoping to use a book shelf bracket of my own design to support the track. I'm using all reclaimed redwood decking as my base material. Cleaning it up and cutting it into 1/2in square timbers: Then cutting those down to 6in lengths: Starting to look like progress!

Hello! I've started a project putting an elevated layout around my daughter's room. I've looked at quite a few different versions for inspiration and settled on a version of my own inspired by some trestles a friend of mine has for his outdoor layout: I sketched the dimensions of her room: Then represented her room with a chalk outline to layout the track I purchased.

I just bought my first Bachmann set! It is a 5th generation locomotive with the stock combine and observation cars styled like the one below. I have been looking for a caboose that matches the coaches and the closest thing I can find by looking at pictures is the LGB model below. Does anyone have a Bachmann coach and LGB caboose they can set end-to-end and take a couple pictures? Or tell me how you think they look together? Does Bachmann make a caboose like this that I haven't been able to find? Thank you!

I would love to reproduce this in my apartment. How far apart did you place the supports, and what are their specs? Looks Great!
