Sugar Posted April 1, 2022 Share Posted April 1, 2022 I obtained the engine 2-8-8 portion without the 8-2 tender of the MTH 2-8-8-8-2 Erie triplex steam locomotive with PS2. The engine runs by itself. I was wondering if any PS2 tender with matching plug-in would work with this engine. Chuck Posted April 3, 2022 Share Posted April 3, 2022 Hi, NO...don't plug any tender other than the original Triplex tender into the engine. The original tender is powered and the tether carries the signal lines to tell the electronics what to do.
