Jerry B44
I like to trim the trees some before putting them in the ground. Easier on the table. When I pick them out I try to get ones with two trunks, for something different. One time I got two trees in one pot actually. View does not show it but one of these has 3 trunks. I usually plant them in the pots, just trim off the top edge so it won't show in the ground. Seems to help keep them smaller. I like the bent over one, reminds of trees in the mountains in Wyoming. BNSF 828
So Jerry is not only a great model railroader, he is also a talented green thumb. Nice work!
Jerry B44
Thanks Bob, got two more to go. Some on my layout got this treatment, but many are just the plain old spruce. I've used some bushes for it also, triming them to tree shape. Also some volunteer cedars that grew up I pruned some.
BNSF 828
How often do they outgrow the pots? Or do they?
