  1. The kadee 909 couplers I refer to are truck mounted. Bill
  2. Jerry, thanks for the response. Lighting looks good in your cars. Bill
  3. From my latest purchases of Piko freight cars they do not come with knuckle couplers. I'll probably convert them with Kadee 909 couplers. Cowman
  4. Nick, could you post a picture of the electrical connector you used between the cars? I just installed my own brand of led lighting in Piko passanger coaches and used Deans micro plug(2NB) for the electrical connections between cars. Bill
  5. Hi All, Just took the plunge into gscale, I'm not new to trains but new to DCC. Had HO for years and then did N for a while, now it's time for a garden rr. I have the time to do it since I retired last year. Now, my wife got me a Pa Piko camelback for Christmas and decide to eliminate all the electrical track problems by going to on board battery power using Airwire. Had no problems with the conversion using the Airwire convrtr, I think the convrtr is a little light to be running on G but CVP says it will work. Anybody have any experience with this combo? I'm also using a 5s 4000 mah lipo battery for power. On problem I did find was the distance the T5000 controller would work was limited to about 75' even with the power level up to 15. I got the convrtr with the 3" external antenna so I expected to get quite a bit distance out of it. Just need a little bit of guidence. Cowman
