To view you have to use the Instagram phone app, you cant view from website. 4014 is to undergo testing on the rails today. https://www.instagram.com/wahsatchunionpacific/?igshid=1jolw9o567zth&fbclid=IwAR06Hil07rSI1_ma9TfrT6q5YB3Dqf-beuPokdFEZfarFhhGpet_rxFJcw8
  3. I have heard that a test run for the 4014 today 5/2/19 is a GO. Sounds like between noon and 1:15pm MT time at best. Will try to share live streaming links as I find them but stay tuned!
  4. 5. It is happening right now, 4014 is being backed up for break in runs tonight. First videos of engine backing up under its own power!
  6. Hi Dave, I haven't heard of any at this point but they might do them
  7. As a relatively inexpensive throttle, I had been recommending people look at the USA Trains Power 10 power supply but I have had 4 calls in the last month with customers that have malfunctioning power supplies. (Engine sitting on the track with engine lights pulsing on and off) One was brand new (bought a few weeks ago). Outside of that I dont have others to recommend. Bridgewerks Magnum SR10amp or SR15 amp is the power supply I normally recommend people get but those are more expensive.
  8. Thank you. 56va / 16volts = 3.5 amps. So the max voltage is a little low but it can probably drive one aristocraft engine ok. Maybe you can get away with 2 but I would guess one.
  9. Hi and welcome. I did some searching and can't find any detail on the specs of that power supply so I'm not sure. Not sure if you can provide a photo but are you able to share voltage output, amps, volt-amps? I would say at this point not knowing anything else you could always try it and see what happens. The worse that could happen is the power supply wouldn't have enough power and the engines wouldn't run or have much pulling power. If they wont move very fast or stall out in curves or under a load then you would have the answer to your question. But really would be best to try and provide the specs printed on the power supply so we can tell you directly.
  10. MTH has made two new announcements: Baggage car will be produced in One Gauge (Roadnames and Product numbers to be determined) GS-4 - Daylight w/Christmas lights (70-3042-1) As a note/reminder, 2019 One Gauge catalog still hasn't been released. I now have the GS-4 listed here for those wanting to place pre-order: http://www.rayman4449.com/MTH/MTH_OneGauge.htm
  11. Trainz.com is a place that buys collections but I have heard they offer on the low side. You can contact them and ask what they would give for what you have and if you like let me know via IM and I might buy for that price.
  12. I'm not sure how many run them outside for display for the public at their homes. There are definitely those that run them in public displays in malls and some outside. Theft could be a problem depending on the area. Another item of concern is wear on wheels&wheel flanges, gears, track (if brass track). if the engine is diesel like by USA Trains or Aristocraft it will have plastic gears which will eventually wear out. USA trains replacement axles/gears are always readily available and replacement is pretty easy. Aristocraft parts arent available and because of difficulty in repair, you would want to replace the whole motor block. I wouldnt use Aristocraft for this application. MTH diesels have all metal gears so those should last much longer. But eventually motor bearings etc will wear out. You will want to regularly lubricate axle bearings and even motor shaft bearings I would say once a week at least. Brass track on public displays is known to wear out in curves. So I would go stainless steel.
  13. Video with SD70ACe prototype: (Thank you to Chuck for heads-up!)
  14. MTH has prototype of SD70ACe (They have had for around 5 years waiting to decide when the market could support a new engine.) See in this video (Thank you to Chuck for the heads up!)
