  1. The Beer Tankers are beautiful and pretty heavy. I like it, but scale isn't for me. I tried a conversion, fits better to my other stuff The Tank wobbles on the Trucks I lowered Truck and Frame Bolster for Kadee body mounted. And slightly narrower platforms and so on. And of course new Wheels, i like this, looks better for me. Not perfect, but possible and runs fine. But a „Beer Can" I can't reduce.
  2. MTH has only a few freight cars, I think that will not change anytime soon. A MTH Flat of NYC was the basis for this Bulkhead-Flatcar. I saw this picture http://trainweb.org/mopac/cgw3017.jpg A kind gentleman from Switzerland made the drawings and Brass work. Unfortunately, the layouts were mirrored. But it remains originally. The Flatcar with Bulkheads seems too high for me. I lowered it about 1â„4 Inch. The 20 foot tank containers are made of brass and are very heavy. The springs in the bogies are exchanged against tougher. The Sierra Valley axes run in sealed ball bearings, 6x3x4mm The axle ends were reduced to 2.9 mm diameter. Thank you
  3. Thank you, Next Job for Fred, MTH Tank Car...
  4. I'll try it, Larry The MTH wheels for diesel are all the same size. Pictures of the Dash 8 I have not, but from the F7, the same job. On the pictures you can see it. I use MTH replacement parts. On all diesel the Silders be removed. For indoor good enough. The wheels with traction tires are replaced with new ones without. You can take a lathe. If not there, as in the picture. The wheels reduce from 38.5 to 37.3 mm. With a fine file and sandpaper etc. Please note, do not remove the insulator, only the wheel disc. Otherwise the wheel wobbles later. Thank you Jan
  5. Another easy Job, A few years ago I got a Fred for track 0 I think Fred suitable for 1/32 than for track 0 And so goes ..... By the way, the Wheels are sierra valley size 2 with ball bearings. I hope you can read it
  6. Hello, Thanks for your answer. Yes of course, it works Code 200 is about 5mm high The flange may be ca.2,6 mm or more high. MTH had 3 mm, sounding a little too much, clink on the ribbed plates This is normal as Märklin track or Hegob etc. Older MTH things must be reduced. Since about 2010 or so MTH reduces itself to about 2.4 mm height. Rolling stock that I can buy here. The Harley Dash 8 had to be changed and the CNW. This is made easy. Jan
  7. Hi, this is my Track Cleaner, works good on my layout. This is an MTH Truck, Pads are LGB. Thank you Jan
  8. Hi, some Pics..... I am 58years old and my Layout is 1/32 scale, Track is one gauge Code 200, DCC or DCS, mostly MTH The Dashes are the best of MTH, the couplers are Kadee 1906 and the pilots are closed, looks much better. And sorry, i dont speak good english. Thanks Jan
