iptaylm
Good afternoon. I am just looking to properly power up my 1:29th Big Boy that I have received from my Father. I wanted to know the right type of power unit/supply that someone can recommend so that I can just power up the sounds and lights. Will not be running the engine (don't have enough track yet Thanks so much.
Rayman4449
I would go with a DC power supply between 18v and 24v. I do have fixed voltage power supplies available and if you ended up needing one you can email me at my email address listed on my website. Rayman4449
Rollers are where you can put the engine on the track but have rollers under that the engine sit on that allow you to run the engine wheels while engine stays in same place on the track. If you just want lights and sound, then you can go with a fixed voltage power supply, If you want to go with rollers then you will really need to go with a power supply with variable output that will likely be more expensive (just FYI)
Sean
Rollers can be seen in this video
iptaylm
Ah, now that makes sense! Thank you. Any idea on price and where to find the rollers to fit a USA Trains Big boy?
Rayman4449
I would say need to do a google search for G scale rollers. (Im not sure who would have them in-stock)
