enginear joe Posted October 23, 2012 Share Posted October 23, 2012 Has anyone tried to convert the big USA tank cars to tank train type with the connecting hoses? I wonder if USA made them if they would sell? I bought some in O scale by Lionel and love them. It would make a great unit train in G scale. I may try and add some hoses and pipes if I get the nerve. Screwy Nick Posted October 24, 2012 Share Posted October 24, 2012 Joe, I see 1:1 trains like that when I am heading N on the NJTpk, big sidings in Elizabeth near the refinery. I don't know what they are carrying but I assume they just connect to the end car and they are all emptied at the same time. I'd love to see a video of the process.
