enginear joe
I run MTH's DCS system. I have had Digitrax and MRC DCC in the past and still have one, old prodigy kicking around. I just got a USA engine and it has: "QSI / G-Wire installed....Air Wire or NCE G-Wire transmitter " Will this run with a DCC controller? or, Is it waiting for strictly over the air commands?? Haven't powered it up yet. I will probably have it converted to DCS anyways. I would like to see it move first, or hear it, it if it has sound inside. Kevin Strong
As configured, it can only run via either the Airwire or NCE controller. If it's track powered, you can simply disconnect the G-wire receiver from the decoder and run it via your MRC Prodigy. To disconnect, simply pull the white ribbon wire from the QSI board. The QSI board is a sound board, so if it's there, it's got sound. If you convert to DCS, you'll find a ready market for your surplus board. (Let me know if you do--I may be one of them!)
