Jerry B44 Posted November 25, 2014 Share Posted November 25, 2014 I just got some Tru-color paint in UP Armour Yellow #TCP-25-2 in a 2 oz jar. Cleans up with Acetone. The paint seems to be a perfect match for MTH's UP color. The paint is pre-thinned for spraying. UP's armour color varies from Aristo to USA to MTH none are the same. Thought some would like to know. Chuck Posted November 25, 2014 Share Posted November 25, 2014 That's all I use is Tru-Color paint. The acetone in it makes the paint "bite" into plastic rather well. I have a $200.00 order being processed right now! I buy it by the 16 ounce bottles. If I wanted to paint this Tru Color over a UP color by another company, would it work okay? A little dab with cotton swab seemed to be okay. Chuck Posted November 26, 2014 Share Posted November 26, 2014 Jerry, I can't answer that because I've never done it...I always strip the original paint off first. Tru-Color will cover itself just fine when painting multi-color schemes. I always reduce the paint with acetone by about 40 - 50% when I spray.
