Jim Miller
Has anyone heard any news about the release of a smaller single channel, less expensive TIU board. This would be great for battery operation.................Jim
Rayman4449
Hey Jim, I haven't personally yet. Seems like there was some talk about that but I haven't heard anything definitive yet.
enginear joe
I was wondering if someone would try a start-up set's remote commander in a battery engine..... The engine must not be added to a remote or be reset to the default address 1 (0). If it was used directly????
Rayman4449
A remote commander uses IR and would not work good if at all in a battery conversion or outside especially in daylight (I would guess). I know there was some talk of it but I'm not sure we will see enough motivation to make one. Fortunately a TIU board fits in good variety of 1:32 freight, passenger cars and dummy engines so you can put one in just about anything, although no doubt a smaller 1 channel TIU would be really nice.
