mbates1566
I just bought an MTH CP C40-8W and it works in DC (analog mode) when I place it on my DCC layout it causes a short and the system senses a fault and cycles on and off until I either remove the locomotive of turn off the power. I am using a Digitrax DCS 200. I was told the MTH locomotive would work on a DCC layout. Has anyone seen this sort of thing before?
blid
I have some MTH 3-rail H0 engines with ProtoSound3E+. If the DCS/DCC switch is still in the DCS mode this will happen.
enginear joe
Protosound 2 does not run on DCC! Only the newest protosound 3 does.
enginear joe
An older engine can be upgraded to ps3 by Ray, here on this forum. Then it will be DCC capable.
