Jerry B44
All of the Thomas the train locomotives are loosely(!) based on real English prototypes. Stirling single's big wheel(8') always caught my eye, but only Aster made one. When Emily came out I got one from Kidman's and started work on it. A small outfit or two in the UK had parts to help convert it. A friend here in Nebraska made the metal cross heads and rods for me out of metal. He molded/cast some and sold a few. Not many did the work. Rob Bennett did the funky figures. Battery/speaker/boards are in the tender. It's about 1/25 scale.

du-bousquetaire
One of my friends Loïk scratchbuilt this one with a good deal of help from John Van Riemsdijk who designed the Aster model. It is here being tried out in February in my garden on my 60th birthday, it was freezing out on that day.
Jerry B44
If interested this guy still has the parts for the conversion. He makes them to order, so would not be fast.. He's getting old, so if you want to do this project you might want to order from him. No, I don't know him. https://www.smallbrookstudio.uk/store/G-Scale-Bachmann-EMILY-Conversion-Parts-p276996049
