Full speed blur...........
It will get bigger next year!

You can buy battery and charger here. I believe you can use c size cells and there should be a battery holder to position batteries in tender. If you are missing holder, try duck tape. Not sure, have only seen this model one time.

Mike, please post pics and vids. I own several Piko buildings and they are top quality. I don't own any Piko rolling stock, but they sure look interesting, like the BR 64.

Mike, try here at coloradomodel.com. Lots of examples of custom buildings. For some reason I can not paste link...................Jim

I sometimes think the best place to run ads for G-Scale would be in other gauge magazines because I am amazed at all the O-gauge guys who want to visit my layout because they never heard of G-scale.
The reason G is so great is it size and it is also it's biggest down fall. Takes up to much room in dealer's stores and our homes...........Jim
-
Yes, I am considering one...............Jim
The Piko TEE got a lot of attention at this years York train show.
It sells for $719 and includes both locomotives and one coach.
I don't own any Piko items but I have my eye on them.

Soon to be released in U.S. and it is manufactured in Germany. The street price seams to be $560 and it looks to be well made and detailed....................Jim

As Raymond has found out there is a shortage of gears, gear boxes and associated parts. Hope someone will fill this need soon. If anyone has ideas please post. It seems that Aristo could eventually add this to the Crest product line. There may not be a huge market for new trains but support of existing trains could be a rather good little business.....................Jim

I have always liked that LGB caboose (expensive) but I have never seen a Bachmann in that style.

Train-Li pulse smoke generator. Not sure if this can be used as DC replacement since it can be operated with DCC.

As for the temptation to buy an SD-45 (Pan Am), I have resisted because I presently have 9.

With Aristo closing its doors we need to look for some alternatives for parts to keep our railroads operating. I have already started looking for switch machines that will operate with the Revo system. Looks like Train-Li and Piko may have a solution. Next I thought about smoke units and it seems that Train-Li may have a good replacement.
These are just some thoughts and would like to hear others concerns and possible solutions. If anyone has any experience with the above items please post them here for the benefit of others.
Maybe Crest Electronics will address some of these products in the near future. I hope Aristo will re-emerge to rescue the Aristo fans.

CHURCH BAZAAR
This years layout is much smaller but more complex. The kids really enjoyed running the trains and and each got a steam train Christmas tree ornament that would allow them to insert there photo in the cab window.
This layout had 8 switches and could run three trains. It took up an area of about 9 by 13 feet and I intend to use this same layout under our Christmas. Curve radius were 2.5, 3.25 and 4 foot.

Mark Oles forgot the Triplex and two GG1's. I also run narrow gauge in 1/24, 1/22 and 1/20. I just love trains.
Scale! What or which scale. If i like it and it will run on one gauge track, let's go........Jim

To the left is my GN SD-45, middle is Mark Oles Mallet and to the right is Ed Headingtons SantaFe U25B. Ed And I were running battery power while Mark was running track power.
