  1. Hi, NO...don't plug any tender other than the original Triplex tender into the engine. The original tender is powered and the tether carries the signal lines to tell the electronics what to do. Plugging any other tender into locomotive risks damaging the PS2 electronics and costing more $$$ to repair.
  2. Techsavy, How many do you have and how much $$ as I find no Aristo switch machines at Trainworld? Oh and forum rules are... Conditions for posting items for sale: Price for each item is REQUIRED in the body of post. If seller does not respond to replies/inquiries on the forum thread after 2 weeks the post will be subject to removal.
  3. Trainworld has the Evans boxcars up on their website for preorder... https://www.trainworld.com/pre-orders/g-scale/bachmann-93554-g-evans-53-double-door-boxcar-with-end-of-train-device-railbox-32113.html
  4. Amazing that these German WWII steam locomotives are still in service!
  5. That's great! My forum theme is still set on Santa and he's singing about same! Only 289 days to go!
  6. Nick, You're right as it contains the Train Control Box. On some K4's it was mounted under the running board on the engineers side. Contained the radio electronics for being able to communicate to both towers and rear end via telegraph/ telephone wires. And it also controlled the cab visual signals that coincided with the block signals via the rails. The PRR was quite unique to implement all that "back in the day." Poppet valve were tested briefly on only 1 K4 and the results were amazing! Starting about here they explain how it works.
  7. Nick, No as 99% of layout has been dismantled as plan on moving this spring.
  8. Jan, Seems most all retailers here have stopped shipping to the EU because of new laws regarding VAT and Duties.
  9. Well I've been tweaking the FEF's smoke and I'm pretty happy with it now. Infact I can only have it on for a minute or so as it smokes out the house...and it should!
  10. And just to reiterate a bit the newly formed MTH Parts division is alive and well receiving shipments of new parts. https://mthtrains.com/parts/arrivals
  11. Andy Edleman former VP Marketing MTH released this video awhile back explaining what all has transpired at MTH during the last year(s). I expect to see more One-Gauge from the new MTH but it will all be BTO (Build To Order). Trainworld had some new MTH One-Gauge tank cars listed as a BTO offerings a month or so back but they've removed them as they probably sold out already. I inquired with Andy @ Prime Mover about maybe "piggybacking" onto that order with our own special run cars and was told too late as the Trainworld cars are already in production and due to ship in April 2022.
  12. Yes mine turned all the way off but I don't use that board now for anything but to operate the cylinder smoke fan.
  13. Hi Brian, Glad you got it figured out. Have to toggle then hold switch over to the side for a bit for volume to raise or lower with Phoenix sounds.
  14. Nick, Scroll clear down at the very bottom of the page where it says themes. Left click on that and the theme panel opens. I'm set on Christmas (Here Comes Santa).
  15. Nick, right...train gremlins ugh! Sean, The first pic fits the Santa theme that I have set for this site and it has snowflakes drifting down the page which fits in well with your snow.
  16. The new Bachmann 2022 catalog shows the Evans boxcar price of $259.00 And the FRED Truck for $99.95
  17. Jerry, No just "slimming" down. For example I have 4 new MTH One-Gauge tank cars on pre-order at Trainworld for delivery later this year 2022.
  18. I received another MTH One-Gauge SD70ACE a few days ago from my favorite dealer Ray's Electric Trainworks! This is the Caterpillar owned Progress Rail EMD Demonstrator version. Here's the real one on display during the Mining Expo 2012 inside a Las Vegas Convention Center.
  19. Now I see that Charles Ro Supply changed the store hours as not open on Saturdays anymore. 9 - 5 Monday thru Friday only.
  20. Jan, Yes I agree that should be sound decoder equipped for that price!
  21. Here's a screenshot from a you tube video taken last weekend's Big E Show in Massachusetts. Bachmann had their new Dash-9's there!!
  22. I wish somebody would make a 1:29 NYC Niagara as those were the ultimate 4-8-4 design! And I would say the pinnacle of steam in America as all further advancements stopped. Then again the N&W J's were very impressive along with the SP GS-4. The Niagara's boiler was capable of generating 8,500 hp of steam...way more than the cylinders could consume. Well here's a kinda crappy video of mine. I need a smartphone holder so videos aren't shaky.
  23. Yes...fine German engineering! Or should state fine German over-engineering as think it's a Marklin design.
  24. Oh I forgot to mention that the instruction manual says to refill smoke unit with 1/2 ounce smoke fluid. It'll take that as the reservoir is huge! I use MegaSteam. The coal and pine scent is nice! http://megasteam.com/index.html
