  1. New MTH ABA F7's. Both A units are masters, no slave unit like MTH's paired AA's.......Jim https://goo.gl/photos/bdjRDW8cLpU8dUmY7
  2. The Triplex is what got me sucked into MTH...........Jim
  3. Does it only lose traction on curves?
  4. Because it is an existing proven system. We don't need another totally different type of system with the way the economy has hurt this hobby. I'm not sure the present EZ App could handle the G-Scale power requirements and/or the distances. Presently, I'm just trying to keep my stuff running. Has anyone noticed that USAT is not well stocked. Wholesale trains does not carry USAT and minimal Bachmann. .................Jim
  5. Jerry, Since Bachmann has plug n play for the REVO it makes sense to me for them to continue the REVO product along with parts to keep all those Aristo's operating.............Jim
  6. Put my last order in for REVO stuff. The RailBoss 4 looks interesting. Looks like it may be more kid proof.................Jim
  7. Thanks John, Just checked them out. The receiver board looks a bit large and I will miss the plug n play for Aristo and Bachmann Loco's. I think I will try two on-board receivers with one transmitter as a test...................Jim
  8. July 25th, 2016 Dear Crest Electronics Customers, We have made a good product, but have not developed sufficient additional items to allow us to cover our overhead. I have devoted the past 2 ½ years to try to make this venture successful and failed. We will be closing as of 7-31-16 and I will look for a day job. In the meantime, you can mail any repairs to me at my home at 74 Williams Ave., Jersey City, NJ 07304 and I will do the necessary repairs after my day job. However, I can’t do free warranty repairs, so call me in advance for a quote and send a check with the repair plus return shipping costs. The phone number of my portable will remain the same at 201-565-6069, though it will be better to reach me in the evenings. It’s been a pleasure to serve you and I look forward to a long time of keeping your equipment in tiptop shape. Yours truly, Navin Shievdayal CREST Electronics
  9. Here some ways I dealt with about a 4 FOOT elevation change. Raised one end while tunneling at the other for a level loop. Than grading other loop........Jim
  10. The same thing that happened to Japan and Korea is now happening in China. As the younger generations evolve to be more like the Americans they develop labor unions and have vacations, hobbies etc.and that requires higher wages to enjoy the good life and eventually their exports become more expensive. I hear that Vietnam may be the next low cost manufacturing country. EPA requirements do add cost to products. My wife was involved in the sale of huge scrubbers to clean the air for the Chinese Olympics. The air in China is awful. When the Chinese engineers visited here in Lebanon, Pa they were surprise to see that the sky is blue. We believe that after the Olympics that the scrubbers were shut down. At present my company has partnership with Chines fabricator but they can not compete with our own shop in the UK. So we only use Chinese shop for projects in China.
  11. Garden Metal Models lost their tooling in China...................Jim
  12. My Triplex rear coupler just ripped off the frame mount. Got a new one from Ray. I'm looking at a way to reinforce it........Jim
  13. Here is two not often seen loco's..................Jim
  14. Mr. Wolfe could not make it in my business. For everyday I maybe late on delivery can cost my client a $1,000,000.00 per day..................#!&+##!
  15. If anyone is interested, I'm flying a DJI Phantom 3 standard.........Jim
  16. Yes, there are regulations. I have my drone registered. One reg is 400 foot ceiling. Another is do not chase emergency vehicles. They are simple and common sense. The real severe restrictions come on if you are using a drone for commercial uses. ............Jim
  17. My first attempt to take video of G-Scale train. This video also has hand held video with sound inserted into edited drone video. Was a nice Fathers Day project with my son Jeremy. https://goo.gl/photos/5hBje2iS2QUDCLs19
  18. Sliders may need some bending to get them back to correct position. Also I have had to bend the foot so it is parallel to rail.
  19. Scott Polk is trying to get Aristo stuff made but the factory is not responsive. He is trying to get the Consiladation and I believe the Pacific's made.
  20. The thing that discourages me from buying a big expensive engines is that they claim to require a huge curve to operate on. My layout can not handle them. That is one of the attractions to MTH and Aristo steam.
  21. 1/29 scale all brass from Broadway unlimited. Never went into production, they did take preorders. http://www.broadway-limited.com/3003spcab-forwardac-12varnishedbrassphoenixsoundgscale.aspx Unfortunately we will probably only see repaint of previously released engine since mold costs for a all new engine can be well over a million dollars......Jim
  22. There would be so much going against what I would really want to see; A CAB FOREWARD.................Jim
  23. At one time Train-LI sold the drop in frog spacers and also did Aristo...................Jim
  24. I might do another Cornwall Locomotive. The #4 or 5 are very similar to USAT's Docksider. Missed out on a great price at the York show, I think they were $300. My grandson was running his GP40 and Annie. The bike is so I take breaks from the trains, my wife thinks it is too much like work and she wants to go for a ride. Looking into another ride to Vermont................Jim
