  1. Very interesting, Jim. That webpage you listed, shows an address that looks like Navin's old address. Interesting. Ed
  2. WOW!! Those are awesome cases to say the least. That guy does nice work!!!
  3. That is awesome!! They look just like the real thing!!
  4. That is one awesome locomotive "consist". Can't wait to see it towing a train of cars out on your railroad.
  5. I have had some AML brass track for some time now, and it works just fine. It is also 100% compatible with my Aristo track as far as I can tell. Ed
  6. Love to have you come and visit, Bob. My email address is: keheadington@msn.com. Ed
  7. Great video, Jim. Brings back fond memories of your day here. Still waiting for hurricane season to end before putting all the buildings out in the layout though. Ed
  8. That's good news, Jim. Sure hope it is true. Seems like a lot of rumors going around about this. Hope you got home okay!! Ed
  9. Don't you worry, Rayman. Michael J will get the paint colors right on!!!!!
  10. I like your intermodal train, Joe. That is one impressive train. The only "unit trains" I typically run are coal trains. I run a lot of coal trains between my coal mine and my power plant.
  11. I saw a Big Boy in Green Bay a number of years ago. One thing I had never thought of was that apparently it was VERY hot inside the cab when they were underway. I heard temperatures in the summer inside the cab that I just couldn't imagine surviving in!! I guess that might be one reason they never built a BIGGER engine! Ed
  12. Thoroughly enjoyed the video, Mark. Looks like you had a great time in spite of the weather. Thanks for sharing it. Ed
  13. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!! Hope you have a wonderful day, and take time to be thankful for all of your blessings!!! Ed
  14. Enjoyed the videos and the pictures, Jim. Nice looking bazaar and great looking trains!!! Were you running on battery power or track power??? Ed
  15. Kevin, those are beautiful engines. I always look with great admiration at kitbashed engines. Joe, the GP40's just look nice, they run well on my less than perfect trackwork, and especially after I converted the motorblocks to the FA type, they draw very low current which gives me nice runtimes with my batteries. I just seem to have very little trouble with them and I like the looks, etc. (I have been very fortunate actually, and have very little trouble with any of my locomotives - which are mostly Aristo) Ed
  16. I like your diesels, Joe. In particular your BN SD40-2. I recently bought the same engine, and it seems to be a very good runner. I converted it to battery power with the receiver and batteries in a trailing car. I still think my favorite engine, though, is the Aristo, GP40. Ed
  17. Jim, Shucks!!! I had a feeling that would be the case though. That is one big engine!!!!! Must be really impressive going around your railroad. Ed
  18. Jim, the inside dimensions of the bridge are 5-1/2" wide. The height is 8" at the edges and 9" in the center. The only complication is that we do enter in one direction at an angle due to the curved track right outside the bridge. Would that fit?????? Ed
  19. Jim, hope you like it. That looks like a really nice engine. In 1:20 scale, it must be an awesome looking machine too! Ed
  20. Looks to me as though as long as you are rich, it is a neat system. Ed
  21. Stan, really nice video, thanks. I agree with others, the sound does sound pretty impressive, especially given the cost!!! That is one cool looking engine too. I am partial to the Great Northern colors. I have an SD45 in the same colors. Your railroad looks nice. Brings back fond memories of our visit out there a couple of years ago. Ed
  22. Mark, actually I purchased my last REvolution receiver from Robbie from his store and paid $82 for it. Now he says he will sell the new one with sound for $89. That is where I got my $7. Sounds like you got a better price at ECLSTS than I did via phone call with no specials in place. Ed
  23. That is really good news, Mark. Sounds like Aristo did okay for their price point!!!! And as you point out, one would hope that it will continue to improve as time goes on. Ed
  24. Mark, I would love to hear how you make out with the new Revolution receiver. It certainly sounds like it has promise. As near as I can figure, with RLDHobbies prices, you get the soundboard for about $7 above the former cost of the Revolution receiver. It is VERY hard to beat THAT price!!!! Anyway, I'll be anxious to hear how you like it when you get it up and running. Ed
