Well then I'd think that VS would change/ re-word the TOS to reflect this?

Boy, I communicate quite frequently with the UK Master Modeler Rob Fern, the fellow that built those KM ML4000's & the Baldwin Sharknose engines in 1/29 scale and he was saying how he has his engines cast in resin..and they don't use either a pressure or vacumn chamber..they just pour it in and poke around with a piece of tubing or a brass rod to release any air that's trapped. His engine shells come out pretty dang good. His shells are thick though..like 1/4" to 3/8" in spots with a few bulkeads inside it to help with shell integrity. Bad thing about making your own is you know where every little fault is but look over one of the manufacturers products and they're loaded with faults too. That all goes away when our trains are ziping around the tracks!

Your probably right about them adjusting where they're made..most first runs of anything usually has it's share of problems. Personaly I like the AML Bethgon Coal Porter hoppers much better..about the same price but way cool and modern! For covered hoppers I still like the LGB's..heck you can play football with those things they're so rugged!

That's looking great! I've seen fans made out etched brass that were really nice. They are flat and before installation the blades have to be bent a bit by hand. So are you going to have it molded and cast in resin when done? Then offer them for sale??!!

I've heard the dessicant pacs that are included are more of a good gesture on the manufacturers part. For some really good dessicant pacs you almost have to buy the ones that gun shops sell to protect firearms while in long term storage.

I had 4 of the Milwaukee Road yellow ones that were the 2011 NGRC show cars. They were impressive looking, nice & big but I sold them. Every car was damaged in shipping in the car end sill area where the underframe meets it..just needed to be reglued. The manufacturer assembled the car after it was painted hence the glue didn't hold. The Kadee coupler pad mount is very weak. The covers ontop of the car didn't like to stay in the closed position and the paint was applied so light on the yellow cars that daylight showed thru them! The die-cast metal trucks were okay but not up to USA Trains standards.
