  1. You try a Aristo Mike? You can adjust the safety and get 60 lbs easily.
  2. Might try that with mine. What gauge of wire? jerry
  3. Check underneath that nothing is rubbing on them, like the brakes. Could be a broken rod also.
  4. I wonder, with the train market the way it is if the Garich molds would be taken up by someone to cast and sell shells. Seems fewer folks are in the hobby and few know of Garich. those were quite the thing, in their day. Some guy bought the Great Trains molds, but have not heard of him casting any to sell.
  5. Bob, always loved seeing your posts on your fabulous builds. I hope they go to a good home. I am slowly selling off my trains, do still run them though. Will keep some.
  6. they look nice. Lot of work, I am sure.
  7. Lucked out and got this Great Trains E-7(8?) a few years back. Has 3 axle blocks from NWSL that work great. Battery powered with on board battery. Picked up some of their passenger cars. I fiexed them up with seats and people and grey foam corriders GT made. Thinner plastic on the cars , prone to warp and not great details but look fine from my deck.. Guess I have to get the video on another forum , will bring it back!
  8. Well it's really great. I've done that with Pacifics also but not to the quality you have used. too old to learn 3d stuff! jerry
  9. Not sure. Ray repaired it and replaced the motors(said that was all he had) but still seems to not run right, will try it again when it warms up some.
  10. Great work Nick,, glad you stuck with it and did not give up.
  11. Tough guy running steam in the cold. I have done it a few times, but find I can talk myself out of it pretty easily!
  12. Saw that Stan just passed. He was a really great guy and artist. I first met him at Marty's, back in the days it was a big meet. He got there early every year to help out and designed shirts for us to wear, I still wear some of mine. He did decals for me and about everyone I know. Always helpful, always cheerful. Gonna miss him.
