  1. fix #4 was a short that halted the first major run of the season. Ended up to be another Aristo micro-switch for the frog that had shorted. I had disconnected the frog from it by just removing the tiny poly fuse. That didn't work here because the switch shorted internally and connected the rail together!
  2. fix number 3 is an area that keeps sinking. The pvc fence would bow out and allow the ground to sink. I had to add soil around the outside of the fence. Then I formed and poured concrete curbing. Then add back more soil, cover and add ballast.
  3. Hahaha.... Which Christmas. Sorry, third year I've heard that!
  4. Hmmm, faster than his 3 other MTH engines? Last release as MTH is out of business?
  5. they are on sale again really cheap!!! ( some of them)
  6. another area that needed work. It had thick moss grow over the rails!
  7. I heard there's a lot of G scale there. I wish I lived closer!
  8. It's great to have an indoor setup when the weather gets bad or you just want to quickly run some trains. I bet people have no idea what it takes to keep an outdoor setup running year after year. I swapped my indoor setup from G scale to O scale 2 rail years ago. It was mainly because I couldn't get the G scale models I wanted. After some time passed, I built another G scale version under the O scale, on the ground. I did that because I missed the G scale running year round inside. (I'm in NY!)
  9. My small water feature had the liner go south. I got around 10 years out of the original. I put a new liner in and did work to protect it better. All the rock needs to go back in to create the water falls. There's still more to do but I wanted to see how it would look. There will be another level of rock and the water fall box will be hidden better.
  10. always step back..... come back at it with a fresh set of eyes.
  11. this is very cool. I followed him as much as I could. I need to watch this to see what I missed!

  13. I could take the trucks off of these units and make a modern switcher. That's if those trucks are any good and IF I could find one cheap.
