  1. Good to see you here. Latest GR has an article about battery conversion to a Bachman.
  2. Finding pix of the top of locomotives/cars is always hard. Might look at HO models of it, or even buy one for reference. Lots of guys do that.
  3. Good to see you posting again Joe. I recall your builds being great!
  4. Friend of mine made some for me, with ball bearings. Can't remember the price, but not too bad. Look real nice. Marty Taylor in Grand Island, NE fullbay@aol . com
  5. Looks great Nick, good finish to a well done build. Now can I send you mine to finish up in your 'spare' time?
  6. Really, really like the side frame things!
  7. That really added something to it Nick.
  8. Looking good, as usual. Damn you anyway! Maybe I'll get back to mine yet.
  9. Last couple of days I cleaned and waxed my vehicles for the layout. Also re-painted the figures and got out the few new ones I found around Xmas time.
  10. Nice work, way beyond my abilities!
  11. I like the 1/32 for the size/weight. Makes a nice looking long train on my layout with out over powering it. MTH is pretty active in putting out a limited amount of product, but this virus thing will sure mess that up and the bad economy we will end up with may very well see the demise of large scale.
  12. Nick inspired me to finally get to work on my McKeen car, a shell made by Robert Thon of Robert's Lines. I had done a E-1 shell I got from him a few years back. I did a McKeen car out of plastic many years ago, a bit smaller, due to the size of the layout I had then. This one is 1/29 scale and is a lot bigger. Sorry about that blank spot. Here is the shell as you get it. Has a nice cast front piece. You have to make the roof. Bob sent along some brass rings to use for window frames, which I may use, not sure yet. I used metal duct tape to create the rivet patterns. Many pieces were discarded! Sprayed with a rattle can. Doing the roof was not as bad as I thought it would be. It is shaped wood underneath like Nick did with his . Still have about half of it to go, then lots more stuff. Mostly robbing from Nick's posts!
  13. Looking good. Building a loco is a lot of work, but quite rewarding in the end.
  14. I've got the front truck, I think.
  15. Yeah, about the only thing I wanted. I do have one I made from a UP shell I got on ebay.
