Screwy Nick
Installed an LED into the head lamp of the 3 cylinder Shay, snaked the wire through the handrail, put the battery and switch in the cab, nothing unique about that. What started as an operating temp test turned into a great morning for plumes.
Rayman4449
That little guy steams really good! Something to be said for running live steam in the winter time
Screwy Nick
You could say I cheated. I first warmed the water on the stove, took it outside and lit the burner. Want to try one when the temp is below freezing. On that one I intend to also run in the house to warm the cylinders before going outside. Screwy Nick
Sean, I tried several ways to fix that, and was able to do it ONCE, since then no luck, sorry. I do appreciate the likes.

Jerry B44
Tough guy running steam in the cold. I have done it a few times, but find I can talk myself out of it pretty easily!
Chuck
Nick, Very nice as it looks real! Well I guess it is!! What fuel does that use?
Screwy Nick
They are designed for Butane, many have found that Isobutane produces a bit more heat. The factory burners can also be modified to produce even more. I have one that I converted to use Propane, pumps out even more.
