  1. Wow! Let me me rephrase that....... WOW!!! -Kevin.
  2. Fantastic! Lights look great and so does the detail work on the cab interior. -Kevin.
  3. Cool! Looks like a big white chocolate T1! Can't wait to see some wheels under it. -Kevin.
  4. Keep up the good work. That way, I'll know what mine will look like some day! -Kevin.
  5. Great solution to those windows. I've got the same Korber kit (with the extension, as well. Found the extension at the ECLSTS this past March). Mine's been in the box waiting to be assembled for five years, now. Some day I'll find time to assemble it. It's good to know that there will be a better set of windows possible when I do. -Kevin.
  6. Fantastic! Can't wait to see it running on some track. -Kevin.
  7. Wow Jerry, that looks great. Can't wait to see some night pictures with all the station and sign lights on. Hey, how about an air pump for tires? -Kevin.
  8. Very cool! I think you should make 2 of them. I'll send you a large box with my address for the second one! -Kevin.
  9. That bobble head mount idea is fantastic! I hope to some day add diaphragms to my old aristo passenger fleet. Of course, I'll have to finish a million other things first. Ya learn something new everyday! -Kevin.
  10. I cut plastic on my table saw regularly. The trick is to use a blade with as many teeth as possible. Plywood blades work well. Of course, using a blade on plastic will make it much less effective on plywood. I always keep my plastic cutting plywood blades separate from my plywood cutting plywood blades. Your mileage may vary. -Kevin.
  11. Cedar is an excellent wood for outdoors. It doesn't need any special weather proofing, but it will turn grey after a season outdoors. You could stain it every season or two if you want some color in it. Or you could make a metal bridge out of aluminum screen framing material. I made one a few years ago. I'm definitely not much of a metal worker, but this was pretty easy to do. Here's a build log of it.... http://largescalecentral.com/forums/topic/16855/pratt-truss-bridge-for-iron-island-rr?page=1 Hope this helps. -Kevin.
  12. I'm not sure what it is worth. A complete (with power adaptor) unit would be better. Hard to tell if it works or not without the power adaptor. You could check eBay pricing but their prices can sometimes be a bit..... unrealistic? You might also check here http://marketplace.collector-modeltrains.com for prices. -Kevin.
  13. No problem. Good luck with your gondola search. If you have any more questions, this forum is full of information and some real knowledgeable people. -Kevin.
  14. Sometimes you can find a suitable one that was once used to power another device (maybe from an old answering machine or other electronic gear). Of course there's always Radio Shack- if there's any of them left nearby. Best of luck to you. -Kevin.
  15. The power adapter is the "wall wart" type. I believe it is 14 to 18 volts DC. -Kevin.
  16. LGB Rigi Dou base units. They'd be worth more with the gondola cars and power adapter, but someone might need them for parts. Hope this helps. -Kevin. Oh, and here's what it looks like in action (not my railroad)..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iANh-OqI2CU
  17. Whew! For a minute there I thought I pressed the wrong button! -Kevin.
  18. That looks awesome!!! If I ever grow up, I wanna be just like you! -Kevin.
